President Donald Trump went to Las Vegas on Saturday to help Nevada Republican Sen. Dean Heller with his campaign and fundraising as November election approaches.

Trump arrived in Vegas on Saturday morning for a busy day of meeting with his supporters, addressing the Nevada Republican Party Convention and then heading to a round-table discussion on his tax plan passed in December, CBS News reported.

"Country's economy is stronger than ever before with numbers that are getting better by the week," Trump tweeted before arriving in Nevada from Washington. "Tremendous potential, and trade deals are coming along well."

Afterward, he posted "AMERICAN IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS."

Heller is widely considered one of the most vulnerable Senate Republicans up for reelection with Hillary Clinton winning the state in 2016.

Before the Convention, Trump held a fundraiser for Heller backstage, CNN reported.

At the Nevada GOP convention at the Suncoast casino, Heller praised Trump's tax plan.

"I fought for it and I'm so pleased the president signed it," Heller said. "My opponent is going to reverse everything this president has achieved over the last 17 months. Let's make sure that doesn't happen."

After Heller, Trump took the stage of the Nevada GOP convention at the Suncoast casino at 3:30 p.m. to a cheering crowd.

Trump referred to Heller's Democratic opponent, Rep. Jacky Rosen, as "Wacky Jacky," in his Nevada GOP convention speech.

He added Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., who he calls "Pocahontas," campaigned for her. And said "when you see that, that's not the senator you want."

Despite recent controversy over separating families, Trump touted his tough stance on immigration.

"If they see any weakness, they will come by the millions," he said referring to undocumented immigrants. "I think I got elected largely because we are strong on the border."

Trump also talked about repealing President Barack Obama's individual mandate for healthcare.

Heller has previously clashed with Trump on his effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act, but he has remained a supporter of his other policies, especially his tax reform.

After the convention, Trump headed to a round-table discussion on his tax plan with Heller, gubernatorial nominee Adam Laxalt, labor secretary Alex Acosta and other local business leaders.

Trump then returned to Washington.
